Oyo Gov't Opens Job Portal For 7,500 Secondary School Teachers...3,000 Non-Teaching Staff

The Oyo State Government has approved the recruitment of 7,500 teachers, and 3,000 non-teaching staff into the state teaching service, as part of its efforts to improve the Post-Primary education sector. The Chairman, Oyo State Post-Primary Teaching Service Commission, TESCOM, Pastor Akinade Alamu made this known on Friday in Ibadan. Recall that in 2021, the Oyo State government through the Commission employed about 5,000 teachers in the State. He said the recruitment exercise then, was applauded by stakeholders in Oyo state, including the World Bank Global Partnership on Education. Pastor Akinade Alamu said the present administration in Oyo State, would continue to prioritise education, and job opportunities for the public.  The Chairman said interested candidates with requisite credentials, can apply through the link tescom.jobportal.oyostate.gov.ng, for about two weeks. In a heartwarming ceremony, the outgoing Commissioner, Honorable Ademola Ojo,  today held a meeting with the management staff of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Investment, and Cooperatives to bid them farewell and express his gratitude for their support during his tenure. The Commissioner, who has been reassigned to the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters , took the opportunity to thank the staff for their dedication and hard work, which he acknowledged had been instrumental in the ministry's achievements during his time in office. OYO GOVERNMENT INDUCTS 32 NEW OFFICERS IN THE LANDS SECTOR

Oyo State Government has appointed various professionals ranging from Surveyors, Estate Officers, Land Officers and others in the junior staff category in order to improve service delivery in the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development. Speaking at the 1-day orientation programme held at the Conference Room of the Ministry, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Mofoluke Adebiyi   who stood in for Honourable Commissioner averred that the new entrants will bridge the existing gap in manpower at the Ministry and was therefore grateful to His Excellecy, the Executive Governor for the appointments.
