Oyo Govt Extends Ibadan Poly Rector’s Appointment by Six Months



The Oyo State Government, through the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, has extended the tenure of Dr. Taiwo Abideen Lasisi as the Acting Rector of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, for another six months.

According to an official letter signed by the Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Salihu Adelabu, the extension is effective from March 25, 2025, to September 24, 2025.

The Commissioner congratulated Dr. Lasisi on the renewal of his appointment and wished him continued success in his leadership role.

Oyo TESCOM Begins Screening Exercise Distributes Appointment Letters

 The Oyo State Post Primary Schools Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), is set  for the   screening exercise and  distribution of appointment letters to newly appointed teachers. The Permanent Secretary for the Commission,  Alhaji Lawal Haroon, made this known to newsmen as contained in a circular dated December 26, 2024.  He said  that the new appointees would  receive SMS notifications regarding their screening process and appointment letters from  Saturday, December 28, 2024, emphasizing  that the newly recruited teachers are to report at their respective zones for  collection of  their appointment letters from Monday, 30th December, 2024. The Permanent Secretary also clarified that the appointment letters ready for Monday do not include  individuals with special needs or non-teaching categories.
