*OYO OPENS VIEWING CENTERS FOR AFCON CUP MATCHES*.   Oyo state government has opened veiwing centre in the state where live matches of the ongoing AFCON Cup holding in Coted'lvoire are being televised for free.   The State  Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Wasilat Ajoke Adefemi made this known while briefing news men in her office. Oyo Trains Facilitators Of Conditional Cash Transfer Scheme

The Oyo State Government has commenced training of one hundred and ninety-nine facilitators to enrol beneficiaries into the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer Scheme. The Oyo State Head, State Cash Transfer Unit, Mr. Akintunde Gbadamosi stated this in Ibadan, at a workshop for Cash Transfer facilitators from the thirty-three local government areas of the state. Mr. Gbadamosi noted that the beneficiaries were expected to receive a monthly stipend of twenty-five thousand naira for three months. He said the training of officers will fast-track the process and make it easier for the beneficiaries to access the cash transfer. Gbadamosi also said a total of 199 Local Government officers working on the project comprising 33 desk officers, 133 cash transfer facilitators, and 33 Grievance Redress Officers are being trained to be knowledgeable on the procedure for enrollment and sensitization of the beneficiaries. As National Youth Day is being marked on every November 1 , Oyo State Government says youth empowerment   programmes. and policies are  being vigorously pursued by Seyi Makinde's Administration in  the State. All tertiary institutions Union leaders and indigenous student associations in Oyo state on Monday met with the new commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Wasilat Adegoke  in a bid to revitalize the existing relationship between Governor Seyi Makinde's administration. The meeting between Hon. Adegoke and the student union leaders came after the warning protest held by the students last week. It will be recalled that the state students beseeched the state government office last week with agitations that, the state governor has not been forthcoming with his promises to students as well as seeing students as very important tools for the progress of his administration.
